by Robert F. Croskery, Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) US Army

What happens if Kamala Harris, through the unreasoning support of most the the media, happens to win the Presidency and carry the House and Senate with her?

To call this prospect a disaster for America is the greatest understatement of our age. We would soon arrive at the dishonesty, hyperinflation, cruelty, lawfare and injustice of communism. Here is how it would happen. First, the Democrats in the Senate would change the rules of the Senate to eliminate the filibuster (Schumer tried to do it under Biden. He failed because Joe Manchin, a last defender of Democracy would not bend.) Now: you may not know what the filibuster does, soi will lay it out. Essentially, it keeps the party in power from getting legislation through the Senate unless at least some of the minority party approves, because you need a 60% vote of the Senate to break a filibuster. Now: what happens when the Democrats, with a tiny majority, end the filibuster? We already know, because of their past efforts and attempted legislation.

The following things WILL happen in rapid succession if Kamala has the House and Senate after the filibuster is gone. 1) Puerto Rico will become a state, insuring 2 more “safe: blue Democrat Senators. 3) Ditto Washington D.C.. That’s FOUR Senators to upset the power balance. 4) There will be an immediate “path to voting” for illegal immigrants. (We know this because the Democrats refused to pass the Save Act, which was meant to head off noncitizens from voting, and the reason for allowing millions of illegals in without a mandate, in spite of the gargantuan cost, the human trafficking, the drugs, and the crime they bring). 5) This change will result in hard left voting in America impossible to counter over the next two decades, until we arrive at the horrors of Venezuela. Kamala is a Marxist (her father is a Marxist Professor). She grew up in her high school years as the daughter of professors in neighborhood in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She lived in BERKELEY, a hard left bastion, not Oakland, California, as she stresses. 6) All of her own expressed positions of 2019 (banning fracking, confiscating guns, abortion up to the moment of birth, and gigantic spending on the “Green New Deal” that destroys American jobs) would be enacted; her “position reversals” are self-serving lies she cannot explain. 7) Nor would the border be closed, because too much money flows to blue donors regardless of the heartbreak massive illegal migration causes.

How, you ask, do we prevent this disaster? It will not be easy. Give the devil her due: she is good at four things: delivering memorized rehearsed lies and half-truths written by people smarter than she, reading teleprompters, leering, and smirking. To some low information voters, that is enough. To win this election, we must get out the truth that the media hides. So here are seven truths, with evidentiary support, that you can use when discussing Kamala with those that will decide whether America is saved: essentially, those people who can vote in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Michigan, New Hampshire North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

She fought to keep nonviolent offenders locked up –
Prospect.org Article

She had almost 92% turnover to her Vice Presidential Staff –
Mynbc15.com Article

This one is amazing. Think about it. More than nine of ten people fled their “dream job” assisting the Vice President, an unheard of rate, because of her blaming staffers for her own laziness and her profanity-laced tirades.

She Failed the California Bar Exam on Her First Try
On the bar exam. 80-90% of students pass. Now: it was only about 60% in the July 1989 California bar, but that includes all those who did not attend law school. Stanford’s law school pass rate is over 90%.
We received a heartwarming message from Rick Croskery, who recently delivered an inspiring sermon titled “Slaying the Philistines with the Jawbone of an Ass.” Due to his pastor’s illness, Rick stepped in on short notice and created a remarkable sermon that resonated with many.

Rick’s sermon can be found about 35 minutes into the video, and it has received much appreciation from those who have heard it. As Bev Croskery mentioned, “We also loved the sermon, Rick. It was very well done.”

We invite you to listen to this impactful message and be inspired by Rick’s words.

“I GET WHY YOU YOU ARE UPSET AT ME, BUT WHAT HAVE YOU GOT AGAINST THE HORSE I RODE IN ON?”– Breaking down the many reversible errors in the rigged trial of Donald J. Trump

Generally speaking, I respect all jury verdicts. Not the one convicting Trump, however. As a trial lawyer, I have NO respect for the outcome. However I am not upset at the jury, because the jurors were preordained to come in with a “guilty” verdict, given that they were the “riders”, and the problem was the “horse they rode in on”–starting with unconstitutional jury instructions hinting strongly that Trump was a criminal. These sneaky instructions were only talked about by the prosecutor, because under the weird way that New York does it, the Defense only speaks in closing argument BEFORE the prosecutor, who speaks last. (In most jurisdictions, the Prosecutor goes first, then the defense, then the Prosecution has final word, which is supposed to be restricted to what the Defense said in its rebuttal). Now the New York system can work fairly IF an impartial Judge and an honest prosecutor have informed the Defense in advance what charge the Defense is facing, and do not conspire—as happened here—to spin a case out of a theory heard FOR THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME from the prosecutor. Moreover, the jury heard tainted evidence that, in fairness, it should never have heard, and did NOT hear evidence that, in any fair trial, it would have heard.

Indeed, the reversible errors in this trial were so numerous that the Judge has to KNOW this verdict should be—and will be–reversed. That knowledge proves beyond a doubt that the single purpose of the trial was to allow Biden and his left-wing sycophants and handlers to label President Trump as a “convicted felon” during the campaign, and due process and the rule of law be damned. Since the inevitable reversal will come after the election, Judge Merchan and Alvin Bragg can give it a big shrug, hoping the conviction itself will sway enough low information voters to keep the doddering old fool pretending to run the country up there for another four years, enough time to completely finish the job of wrecking the country with war, inflation, and left-wing lunacy.

Now: on September 6, Judge Merchan, perhaps realizing that sentencing Trump to jail on these transparently contrived charges would be likelier to help him than hurt him, moved the sentencing date to November 26, 2024, after the election. But, of course, you will still hear people sneer that Trump is a “convicted felon” in what lawyers call the “Zombie case”–one pieced together out of contrived crimes to “get Trump”. How did they do it?

Alas, explaining what happened here requires getting “down into the weeds” a bit more that I would like, but given the gigantically contrived nature of the case, it’s inevitable. Since there are so many errors, I am just going to pick one from each phase of the trial, working from end (of the Court’s case) to the beginning of the indictment.

Let’s start with the rigged jury instructions. Out of many glaring errors in the 58 pages, the biggest was allowing a non unanimous verdict on key element of the “crime”. The jury was allowed to pick one of three theories, theories advanced for the FIRST TIME and explained by the prosecutor, theories that the defense has not alerted about because of the weird system of the New York system that allows a biased judge to hook up with a dirty prosecutor and sneak in something that should have been in the trial. (and was not). One of those theories? A supposed federal election campaign violation, over which New York clearly has no jurisdiction.

Backing up to the next phase, the Judge excluded most testimony of a key Defense witness, Brad Smith. the former FEC Commissioner, who would have clearly explained that Trump did not violate federal law (in fact, if he HAD called payments for invoices as legal services “campaign expenses”, he would have been on really shaky ground). Judge Merchan repeatedly sustained unbelievably crooked objections to keep exculpatory evidence out of the trial, then blew up at the Defense witness in front of the jury. Merchan followed his tantrum by sending the press out of the room and REALLY excoriating Smith and threatening to strike his testimony. This action was the opposite of classy, and was horribly prejudicial. Merchan’s reasoning was that the “judge instructs on the law” ignoring that he has NO right to instruct the jury on this federal charge (and didn’t, leaving the jury to infer whatever it chose), and that the witness on the stand knew 100 times more about the technical aspects of a campaign finance violation than Merchan ever will.

Moving back in the trial: time to fly into the “storm”. Let’s ignore that fact that the Stormy Daniels story was already out, and that anyone who would have voted on it already knew and had factored it in. We can also ignore, for the nonce, the fact that these payments were made after the election was over, while Trump was in the White House running the government and signing huge piles of checks thrust in front of him by his aides. Let’s just say that the restrictions on this witness were inexcusable and meant to rig the decision, given what went before.

What went before? Let’s back up to the testimony of Michael Cohen and the fact that the Prosecution was able to bring out that he “pleaded guilty” to federal election campaign violation, And some knew that there was an “unindicted co-conspirator”. Sounds pretty damning, right? Well, it does seem that way, and that is the reason that the judge allowed the Prosecution to sneak in the case, violating numerous due process issues supposed to protect the innocent. Why? To start with, the case against Cohen was never PROVEN in court, and there almost certainly was NOT a violation. Cohen pleaded to something he did not do under enormous pressure (essentially, they were threatening to lock him up for decades and maybe imprison his wife, to boot. Don’t think that can happen in America? Think again.) Even if there were a conviction, Cohen was the one who made the payments to Clifford and billed the President, whose assistants were merely following the “legal advice” of Cohen in matching the check memorandum to the invoice. And anyone thinking President Trump did his own books or told his bookkeepers how to code the payment is smoking a particularly strong brand of weed.

Indeed, backing up to the next phase, look at the supposed “crime” itself, supposedly wrong accounting entries that matched invoices, entries made not by the Defendant but someone else and AFTER the event they supposedly influenced. Now, let’s ignore the fact that the only thing tying Trump to the “crime” was the testimony of Cohen, whom the Defense termed the “GLOAT”–the greatest liar of All Time–(personally, I would give the prize to Harris, who told us, repeatedly, that “the border is secure” and that Joe Biden is “sharp as a tack”, but no problem).

So: in sum: this judge decided to let “Stormy Daniels” aka Stephanie Clifford, an aging porn actress who has made tons of money off Trump but owes him half a million for a lawsuit she lost brought by felon Michael Avenatti, wax eloquently on the details of a single tryst from over a decade ago that had nothing to do with the case. (Actually, the Judge allowing this clearly inappropriate testimony was a red herring, meant to help hide the dirty tricks that would take place when the jury charge was written—but it is still reversible error.)

While I could give a lot more examples, as this case is riddled with reversible error glaringly evident to any competent trial attorney, let’s to back to the first one. Judge Merchan committed reversible error by even trying the case. He was an unelected judge hand-picked to skewer Trump. He unethically DONATED to an organization dedicated to stopping the Defendant which alone disqualifies him. His daughter made millions off Democrats and will make more millions off this verdict. Yet Merchan refused to recuse himself (clearly because he wanted to see himself as the toast of the left-wing cocktail circuit as the man who put his whole body on the scale to hang a faux felony on Trump).

And the scheme worked. The trial took place in a deeply blue district that hates the Defendant. (One liberal loftily informed me that 25% of the jury pool voted for Trump. Since each side gets an equal number of strikes, there is no way those voters would have been on the jury—just think about it). The whole case was based on a sneaky last minute hidden theory, testimony of a congenital liar, and testimony of a porn actress allowed to testify about sex acts over a decade old that are irrelevant. This is the most crooked, contrived, dishonest conviction I have ever seen. Rather than “respecting” the verdict, what I have for it is contempt. (That contempt is NOT for the Jury. I’m sticking to criticizing the horse they rode in on.) For the judge and prosecutor, I have even more contempt for betraying their oaths. This outrageous miscarriage of justice WILL be reversed, of course, but it should never have happened and it disgraces our legal system. Perhaps, rather than calling the many errors in the case the “horse the jury rode in on”, I should call it what it is. A giant load of horsecrap.

Prelude: On my need for a day of healing and revitalization.

A few Fridays ago, I met with a hotel catering manager regarding the menu and other details for the then, upcoming 40th reunion of the West Point Class of 1982. That meeting ended a week of legal briefs, family struggles, and great national angst. The January 6th “hearings” continued. Battles about about whether abortion is “health care” or an abomination raged. Another bloody week in Chicago claimed dozens of lives. My sister, a minister, “unfriended” me on social media, purportedly for proclaiming my belief that Jesus would have opposed abortion. (My real crime, in her view? Being “articulate while conservative”, a mortal sin with dangerous ramifications for the globalist agenda. Silencing your voice is self-preservation for wokesters, who otherwise would have to explain their beliefs that men can get pregnant or that biological women can fairly compete with “women-who-were-formerly-men”). But I digress. The point is, I have been in an upset and angry mood as I have watched good people being slandered, common sense being attacked by charlatans, and our nation’s treasure being frittered away on radical causes and evil doctrines. The world seems fiiled with illusions, delusions, and Big Tech censorship. I needed a recharge. I needed healing. I needed affirmation. And I found it. Maybe you also need these things, and maybe my experience can be of service to you.

A Journey to Hallowed Ground

Saturday, I started by working out at the hotel, freshening up, and making the 45 minute drive to West Point, New York. As I drove up the Palisades Parkway, taking 9W and the roundabout to Route 6, then drove through the newly blacktopped road through Highland Falls, past Schade’s and the Thayer Hotel, I felt a deep sense of connection and peace. The stocky gate guard dressed in black sized me up, saw my retired Army cap, scrutinized my ID card, and waved me through, saying “Welcome back, Sir.” I drove past Buffalo Soldiers’ Field, up Mills Road, went under the Class of 1956 bridge at Michie Stadium, and turned left onto Stony Lonesome for a quick stop at the Post Exchange. There, I saw a few cadets—dressed in BDUs (Battle Dress Uniforms). I surmised they were part of the cadre teaching the New Cadets. They looked fit, sharp, and very, very young. I bought some sundries, a gift for my wife, some West Point memorabilia, and then began my mission for the day: visiting the most special places, for me, at a very, very special place, to seek healing, solace, and affirmation. My destinations: the Cadet Chapel, first and last), the Old Cadet Chapel, The Cemetery, and the Catholic Chapel. Each has a special place in my heart, and the hearts of many cadets, former cadets, graduates, friends, and staff. I wanted to visit them—but more, I needed to visit them. These past two years have been very wearing, destructive to my family relationships and my nation. This was was time to seek answers; to seek courage, faith, and hope, in a very special place.

The Cadet Chapel–FAITH

The Cadet Chapel is a giant stone cathedral that overlooks the barracks from a high point on the hill. Each Sunday, cadets ascend about 200 feet to worship together. As a Cadet, I have sung on that old stone altar with the choir. I have heard the magnificent organ (the 2nd largest in the western Hemisphere, we learned) thundering out its mighty hymns as Doc Davis worked his magic. I have heard magnificent sermons from Chaplain Richard Camp, (a dear friend who recently passed away). I have attended many fellowships in the basement, and on one amazing, ethereal night, I and a dozen other cadets sang and prayed on the roof and felt the presence of God. It was magical. So I parked my rental and entered this unique place of worship.

The Cadet Chapel inspires quiet awe. It is beautiful in the old sense—think Rennaissance masters, not Van Gogh. At the South End, three gorgeous stained glass windows over the altar represent “Duty, Honor, and Country”. I slowly walked up the side aisle, turned into the center, advanced to the altar, and knelt and prayed the Cadet Prayer. As I did, I felt an wonderful feeling of courage, faith, and reassurance rush through me. And two parts of the Cadet Prayer truly resonated with me as I prayed: “Help us to draw nearer to Thee in Spirit and in Truth” was the first. The other was “Kindle our hearts in fellowship with those of a cheerful countenance, and soften our hearts in sympathy for those who sorrow and suffer”. My revelation was that whatever turmoil was there, God is always there, if we seek Him, and that we are called to be joyful ourselves, and seek others who are, even in the darkest times. And this is the message of FAITH. Things will work out, if we join together as brothers and sisters under God and strive to be an irresistible force for good in what can be an evil world. I concluded the prayer with “Amen”, rose, and drove to my next destination; the Old Cadet Chapel.

The Old Cadet Chapel and the Cemetery-COURAGE

I drove down Stony Lonesome road towards the Old Post Exchange. I passed the area containing the First Class Club, the imposing red brick of Eisenhower Hall, and drove through the entrance to the Cemetery, and parked at the circle in front of the Old Cadet Chapel, In contrast to the immense stone edifice of the immense modern Cadet Chapel, the Old Cadet Chapel is much smaller and rather plain, with the exception of all the plaques and ornaments commemorating great generals in earlier battles. At the top of the Choir loft, on the right hand side, is a plaque for General Benedict Arnold. It contains his date of birth, but no date of death. This Chapel is similar to a New England Puritan chapel, with wooden benches and clean, straight lines. This Chapel was also a very special place during my abbreviated time at West Point, The connection is similar but different. This connection is to the great leaders of the distant past, who had greatness thrust upon them in earlier times and earlier days. Some celebrated here once fought for the Confederacy. Some owned slaves. But they had this in common: they did their duty as they saw it, and they had a fiery and deep devotion to God. They pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. They forged the FOUNDATION of our freedom. By the standards of their time, they were heroes and honorable men. I knelt at the altar, again, alone in this special place, and again I prayed the Cadet Prayer.

Again I felt a deep feeling of peace, and this time the part of the prayer that resonated most was the ending: “Help us to maintain the Honor of the Corps, untarnished and unsullied, and to show forth in our lives the ideals of West Point in doing our duty to Thee and to our Country”. And I thought of General Ulysesses Grant, and his humanitarian gestures as he ended the Civil War Because he saw his duty as ending a bloody war, valiantly fought, with steps that would unify the country, Those that fought for the Union maintained the honor of the Corps, and did their duty. And as I walked out into the sunshine and visited the graves of the great leaders and heroes of the past, I thought of their courage in dark times, and how it bore them through to better times. And how so many gave all, that we might live. So many great leaders-Norman Schwartzkopf, George Goethals (who gave the world the Panama Canal); Sylvanus Thayer, the father of West Point; Margaret Corbin, the Revolutionary War heroine who took her husband’s place at the cannon; Susan and Anna Warner, who wrote “Jesus Loves Me”; and the soaring and ornate grave of General Daniel Butterfield, the Medal of Honor winner who gave us “Taps”. I visited the cadet monument for those who died as cadets. I slowly walked through row after row of graves of heroes with diverse names—Irish, Jewish, English, Hispanic, Italian, French—all united as testaments to greatness, and to the reality that our time is fleeting, and that we must use it well. Our country (and the world) has been saved, time and again, through their courage. And it occurred to me that all of us need courage now, to speak up in a time of censorship, to question science misused to oppress and consolidate power, and to fight for righteous causes against powerful, immoral, and ruthless forces bent on destroying all we hold dear.

The Catholic Chapel–HOPE

I drove back up Stony Lonesome Road, turned right and wound my way around the back of Professor’s Row, and arrived at the parking lot for the Catholic Chapel. I entered the side door from the parking lot. As I turned right and gazed at the Narthex, I marveled. This chapel is truly beautiful. A Vietnamese lady in the front finished lighting candles. A family of four exited. Again I was alone, or as alone as you can ever be in a sacred place at West Point. And I gazed in wonder at the astonishing beauty of this sacred place; the gilded vessels, the crucifix, the statues of the saints, and the stories of the windows. This chapel lifts up the eye to the suspended art over the altar. After a few moments of appreciation, again I approached the altar to pray, for the Third time, the Cadet Prayer. And, again, a new part of the prayer resonated: “Endow us with courage that is born of loyalty to all that is noble and worthy; that scorns to compromise with vice and injustice and knows no fear when truth and right are in jeopardy.. Make us to choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong, and never to be content with a half truth when the whole can be won” Now, while this seems forthright and vital, it also sows the seeds of hope: IF we are steadfast, and IF we have firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, we CAN prevail against the darkness. Truth can conquer falsehood. That which is noble and worthy—the vision of Martin Luther King, the determination and humanity of U.S. Grant, the brilliance and determination of Norman Schwartzkpf: that is our legacy. We must have hope above all, and carry it through faithfully and courageously. The present may appear bleak. Inflation soars, opioids kill legions. False prophets assail the prosperity of the underprivileged with lies and deceit. But after a struggle, there will be an ultimate victory of righteousness, as our country turns back to its roots in a new and better way. As I walked out of the chapel, I felt an immense upswelling of hope.

Return to the Cadet Chapel After a contemplative detour to walk Trophy Point, visit the links of the Great Chain, and look out at the Hudson River, I drove back up the hill for a final visit to the Cadet Chapel. This time, though, as a tour bus was dropping its visitors, I simply sat in the parking lot and thought about the magical day and its lessons. They are all there in the Cadet Prayer. Postlude Reproduced below is the Cadet Prayer, written by Chaplain Clayton Wheat in 1924. May it bless you and charge your spirit with faith, courage, and hope, and whatever else you need at this point in your own life. Cadet Prayer (Clayton Wheat, 1924) O God, our Father, Thou Searcher of Human hearts, help us to draw near to Thee in sincerity and truth. May our religion be filled with gladness and may our worship of Thee be natural. Strengthen and increase our admiration for honest dealing and clean thinking, and suffer not our hatred of hypocrisy and pretence ever to diminish. Encourage us in our endeavor to live above the common level of life. Make us to choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong, and never to be content with a half truth when the whole can be won. Endow us with courage that is born of loyalty to all that is noble and worthy, that scorns to compromise with vice and injustice and knows no fear when truth and right are in jeopardy. Guard us against flippancy and irreverance in the sacred things of life. Grant us new ties of friendship and new opportunities of service. Kindle our hearts in fellowship with those of a cheerful countenance, and soften our hearts with sympathy for those who sorrow and suffer. Help us to maintain the honor of the Corps untarnished and unsullied and to show forth in our lives the ideals of West Point in doing our duty to Thee and to our Country. All of which we ask in the name of the Great Friend and Master of all.

Newly elected President Argentine President Javier Milei is working to restore his country. Such doctrines are neither fair nor equitable. Empirically, what succeeds is capitalism, embracing private property, and preserving liberty.

When I was a boy, my incomparable Grandfather, “Tex” Fulkerson, taught me an incredibly important life lesson about bent nails at his Arkansas farm. (Tex was an amazing man…a WWII veteran, a Scoutmaster, a fantastic storyteller, a hunter and fisherman, and the referee for wrestling matches between the cousins. More about some of those stories on another day).

I just finished the installation of a prehung interior door in our Tennessee cabin called, oddly enough, “Patriot Dream”. The door increases the width of the opening from 23 inches to 30 inches, a difference that will admit a small wheelchair. The putty is drying, and all that is left to do is a light sanding and final stain. (Doing an installation in a preexisting space was “fun”. I had to adjust the framing, move two electrical fixtures, cut and install furring strips to account for the difference in thick cabin walls, and splice in a new threshold plate.)

But here is where the bent nails come in. When I was spending one unforgettable week with Grandpa Tex at the age of 13, I decided to work on the cousins’ treehouse. The former occupants of the property had left a pile of lumber We went to get what we needed. There were plenty of boards, but most of them had nails–rusty nails– sticking out of them. Tex had brought a hammer, and as we pulled out each board, we patiently knocked the nails out. They were rusty–and dangerous. (So were the inevitable copperheads under the pile of Arkansas lumber, but that is also another story). Tex then told me this: “Rob, ALWAYS knock the nails out of old lumber before you put it away. First thing, you don’t want someone to get hurt later because you were too much of a knucklehead to take those nails out. But also, when you do it right away and pull those old nails out, many can be straightened and reused. These old, rusty, bent nails in these boards are useless and dangerous. But if you take the nails out right away, you can unbend them and store them. You may need them again.”

Tex was a man of deep faith, but not big on preaching. His wife, Mildred, had a small upright organ in the living room and could play hymns…in fact, she kept a hymnal on the instrument. (But she was away that week, and Tex and I lived on a pot of Mulligan stew, refreshed every couple of days from fish off the trot line or a rabbit felled by a shotgun blast). That night, over a bowl of that stew, Tex came back to the story of bent nails. “Rob, when a man lives the right life, he is like a new, straight nail. Everything goes easy. If you get bent, you need to pray to get right. Cause God can unbend any nail”.

I do not deny that the climate is changing–and always has been. I do question the response by the left, which, I believe, will make a negligible difference in climate, but will enrich certain parties (politicians and our chief geopolitical adversaries). These facts illustrate the Green New Hoax.

1) Batteries do not make electricity – they store electricity produced elsewhere, primarily by coal, uranium, natural gas-powered plants, or diesel-fueled generators. To say an EV is a zero-emission vehicle is false.

2) Currently forty percent of the electricity generated in the U.S. is from coal-fired plants, so it follows that forty percent of the EVs on the road are coal-powered.

3) It takes the same amount of energy to move a five-thousand-pound gasoline-driven automobile a mile as it does an electric one. The only question: what produces the power? It does not come from the battery; the battery is only the storage device, like a gas tank in a car.

4) There are two major types of batteries, rechargeable, and single-use. The most common single-use batteries are A, AA, AAA, C, D. 9V, and lantern types. Those dry-cell species use zinc, manganese, lithium, silver oxide, or zinc and carbon to store electricity chemically. They all contain toxic, heavy metals.

5) Rechargeable batteries differ somewhat in their internal materials, usually lithium-ion, nickel-metal oxide, and nickel-cadmium. The United States uses three billion of these two battery types a year, and most are not recycled; they end up in landfills. California is the only state which requires all batteries be recycled. If you throw your small, used batteries in the trash, here is what happens to them….All batteries are self-discharging. That means even when not in use, they leak tiny amounts of energy. You have likely ruined a flashlight or two from an old, ruptured battery. When a battery runs down and can no longer power a toy or light, you think of it as dead. It is not fully dead. It continues to leak small amounts of electricity. As the chemicals inside it run out, pressure builds inside the battery’s metal casing, and eventually, it cracks. The metals left inside then ooze out.

6)The ooze in your ruined flashlight is toxic, and so is the ooze that will inevitably leak from every battery in a landfill. All batteries eventually rupture; it just takes rechargeable batteries longer to end up in the landfill.

7) In addition to dry cell batteries, there are also wet cell ones used in automobiles, boats, and motorcycles. The good thing about those is, ninety percent of them are recycled. Unfortunately, we do not yet know how to recycle single-use ones properly.

8) If you are excited about electric cars and a green revolution, take a closer look at batteries and also windmills and solar panels. These three technologies share environmentally destructive production costs.

9) A typical EV battery weighs one thousand pounds, and is about the size of a travel trunk. It contains twenty-five pounds of lithium, sixty pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of aluminum, steel, and plastic. Inside are over 6,000 individual lithium-ion cells. All those toxic components come from mining. To manufacture each EV auto battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, and 25,000 pounds of ore for copper. All told, you dig up 500,000 pounds of the earth’s crust for just one auto battery.

10) Sixty-eight percent of the world’s cobalt, a significant part of a battery, comes from the Congo. Their mines have no pollution controls, and they employ children who die from handling this toxic material. Should we factor in these diseased and dead children as part of the cost of driving an electric car?

11) California is building the largest battery in the world near San Francisco, and they intend to power it from solar panels and windmills. They claim this is the ultimate in being ‘green,’ but it is not. This construction project is creating an environmental disaster.

12) The main problem with solar arrays is the chemicals needed to process silicate into the silicon used in the panels. To make pure enough silicon requires processing it with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrogen fluoride, trichloroethane, and acetone. In addition, they also need gallium, arsenide, copper-indium-gallium- diselenide, and cadmium-telluride, which also are highly toxic. Silicon dust is a hazard to the workers, and the panels cannot be recycled.

13) Windmills are the ultimate in embedded costs and environmental destruction. Each of the largest ones weighs 1688 tons (the equivalent of 23 houses) and contains 1300 tons of concrete, 295 tons of steel, 48 tons of iron, 24 tons of fiberglass, and the hard to extract rare earths neodymium, praseodymium, and dysprosium. Each set of three blades for the largest turbines weighs 81,000 pounds and will last 15 to 20 years, at which time it must be replaced. We cannot recycle used blades.

14) There may be a place for these technologies, but shouldn’t we look beyond the flawed narrative of “zero emissions”.

15) “Going Green” may sound like the Utopian ideal but when you look at the hidden and embedded costs realistically with an open mind, you can see that Going Green is more destructive to the Earth’s environment than meets the eye, for sure.”

West Point, from day one, pounds into Cadets the concept that every officer must pay “attention to detail”.

I greatly admire Disney parades for their illustration of this precept. If you have enjoyed one, you have seen “attention to detail” played out. What goes into making one of those parades nearly perfect?

First, there is the staging area and the route. There are those who design and theme the parade and pick the equipment and the order. Someone must design, make, paint, and test each piece of equipment, getting input from engineers, safety, designers, and legal. Then there are all the dancers, doing exact precision steps, and beautiful costumes.

There are all the vehicles, some with natural gas effects and lots of glitter and spinning mechanical things that can go wrong. Then, there are all the people that are involved in crowd control. Some of them are putting down and taking up ropes, some are ensuring that guests don’t hurt themselves and that there is a way to get through the parade at appropriate times, and some are just ensuring that the crowd is safe and happy.

Next, there are those guests that are too rambunctious to be controlled by the regular staff, and there must be security staff available by walkie-talkie. Next, there has to be those that manage the parade, make sure that it starts on time, make sure that if there are guests that need accommodation, that it is provided, make certain that if cast members are sick, substitutes are provided. There is someone who has to monitor that the parade arrives to check points on time, and its equipment is properly put away and maintained.

Almost certainly, there are managers responsible for each vehicle, each float, each set of dancers, for maintaining the costumes, maintaining the equipment, and storing it properly. There are probably inspectors who watch from the audience viewpoint and monitor volume, pace, entertainment value, and visibility.

There have to be After Action Reports, reviews, and improvements suggested, agreed upon, communicated, and implemented. In other words, the Disney parade is an amazingly well-orchestrated, well planned, well executed event.

May your own life, in its better moments, be a Disney Parade.

My explanation of why I am convinced the 2020 election was rigged:

One of the MANY inexplicable anomalies that makes it very clear that Biden will NEVER be legitimate, even though he was inaugurated, is in the “spike” of uploaded votes in Pennsylvania. It is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for a simultaneous upload of 570,000 votes for Biden and 3200 for Trump to be legitimate (as happened).

There is NO JURISDICTION IN THE COUNTRY of any size (or combination of jurisdictions) where Biden would get 99.44% of the vote and Trump would get .56 percent. It is statistically IMPOSSIBLE. That is why, although Biden has become my President, he will NEVER be a legitimate one. The outcome was pure theft.

For the benefit of my math-challenged friends, I will try to explain. Let’s say that in the deepest of deep blue districts, Biden wins 91.7% of the votes. (It probably is never that high a percentage, but I am showing how ludicrous this documented incident is.) OK. We will say you are rolling 2 dice, and you have to roll either snake eyes or “3” as your point in order to get a Trump vote. EVERY OTHER COMBINATION gets you a Biden vote. Ok.

In 36 rolls, you would normally get 33 Biden votes and 3 Trump votes. (There are 36 different possible combinations of a pair of six-sided dice, or 6 x 6. You can only make a “two” one way, with a 1 on each die. You can only make a 3 two ways, a 1 on the first die and a 2 on the second, or a 2 on the first die and a 1 on the second. Thus this system approximates a 91.67% Biden voting electorate). In 360 rolls, expect 30 Trump votes and 330 Biden votes. In 360,000 rolls, 330,000 Biden votes and 30,000 Trump votes.

Multiplying by 1.5, in 540,000 rolls with honest dice, you will approximate 465,000 Biden votes and 75,000 Trump votes. It will be a tiny bit off…say, you MIGHT get 465,202 Biden votes and 74,798 Trump votes…but there is NO WAY ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH where, rolling honest dice 540,000 times, you will get 536,786 Biden votes and only 3,024 Trump votes. That is so many standard deviations off expectancy…so impossible…that it exceeds, say, the chance that you will have the exact same birth date as the next 15 random strangers you meet.

Conclusion: the uploads are fraudulent. Extrapolating, the process was rigged.

Now: if you point this out, someone will loftier tell you that “60 court cases” all ruled the election was legitimate, or some such malarkey. That assertion is errant nonsense. Most cases were tossed on procedural grounds–standing, separation of powers, and similar problems. You will not find a single case decided on the merits that addresses the above issue. If you think you have one, feel free to forward it to me.

All of us must be sensitive to the past ills of slavery, but not just slavery. Genocide, religious wars, tortures, and savagery have been the way of man at his worst forever. The 1619 project is calculated to ignore everything good about America’s founding and instead focus on 1619. A few facts:

1. Slavery was practiced by every aboriginal tribe on both the North and South American continents for centuries before Columbus arrived. Therefore, slavery in the Americas dates back to prehistoric times, not 1619.

2. Slavery was practiced by all European, Asian, and African nations or tribes centuries before Columbus landed in the New World. Slavery in the Old World dates back to prehistoric times.

3. The colonizing nations brought their institution of slavery with them to North America where the aboriginal tribes already practiced it. However, the vast majority of slaves went to the Carribean, not what would become the United States.

4. During The Enlightenment in Europe and North America, the morality of slavery began to be questioned by an ever increasing number of people. The Declaration of Independence as originally written by Thomas Jefferson would have ended slavery in the United States. However absolute opposition to this by South Carolina and other southern states defeated this attempt as well as a later one at the Constitutional Convention. Nonetheless, almost all northern states had made slavery illegal by the early 1800s.

5. Slavery fell more and more into disrepute in the United States with every passing year. Finally, in 1860, in an attempt to maintain and expand slavery, democrats in the southern states tried to secede from the United States. In the resultant Civil War, approximately 360,000 anti slavery, U.S. military personnel (the vast majority of whom were white) died fighting and finally defeating the democrat pro slavery secessionist forces.

6. Post war, the north failed to enforce the necessary reconstruction laws in the former secessionist states thereby allowing southern democrats to enact and enforce various Jim Crow laws. Much of this problem came from the assassination of President Lincoln.. Black Americans were violently denied their rights as American citizens and thousands were murdered by southern democrats from 1870 until 1964. Then, in 1964, as a result of their own efforts and those of mostly white northern Republicans, the Civil Rights act of 1964 was passed, followed by the Civil Rights Act of 1965, ending Jim Crow.

7. Consequently, in 1965, Southern democrats changed their strategy. Using LBJ’s “Great Society” programs as a Trojan Horse, they destroyed the black American nuclear family, and created a new, nationwide welfare plantation system, that would, as LBJ himself said, “have those [n-words] voting democrat for the next two hundred years.”

8. Final Note: The United States ended slavery before aboriginal American tribes did, and long before most African nations or tribes. In fact, slavery is still practiced in some parts of Africa.
